house for rent

Our house owner is going to renovate their house, we have been asked to vacate the house end of this month, we are searching for a new house, it is hard to get a house here in Chennai, due to DLF and OTP and other software park.
I found few things while searching.
I do not see any TOLET board, later I came to know that the broker has asked the owners not to display any TOLET board in front of their house.
All the house owners listen to the brokers; they don’t even speak to you directly when you ask something.
Broker is not at all giving any respect to you, if you ask 5000 they will show only 7,000 rent houses.
If you talk to reduce the rent they will say "no house for bachelors".
If it is a multi story apartment, the watch man behaves rudely; he will always talk about the maintenance amount 500 or 600. (Seems nothing is maintained).
If you ask something about maintenance they will get angry.
When you see any broker first thing they will ask is "how many of you", so based on the people they will say the rent.
if you get any house for less than 4,000 nearest to city, either it will be darken without any window for ventilation or stinky, but there also you can find a software engineer staying with his friend.
